Cobalt-based ink on stoneware, 2020-2024
The technique used I use to print on ceramics is gum arabic resist, a type of lithography, where printing is done directly on soft leatherhard clay. I mix my own ink and develop mediums for printing, and carefully manage amount of moisture in clay. Using this printing method allowes me to integrate different aspects of image-making practice into clay, and expand on my photocopy and text work.
